“When my fiancé unexpectedly passed away, the long struggle to keep and maintain the home we purchased together began.
Over the next 16 years, the home and the payments became overwhelming. With working full-time, commuting 100 miles each day, and having the responsibility for my grandson, I felt backed into a corner. After trying to work with the mortgage companies, I gave up and eventually stopped paying both borrowers. With foreclosure looming I knew I had to try to do something.
